In my 16 years of professional event management, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients including corporations, individuals, trade associations, and non-profit organizations. I acquired 13 years of that experience working directly with non-profit community relations and development teams, with a particular focus on fundraising through special events. Working in Seattle with organizations including the Washington Technology Industry Association, Bellwether Housing, King County Sexual Assault Resource Center, Landesa, and the Seattle Symphony, and in Washington, DC with the Overseas Development Council, I have developed the skills necessary to produce tremendous results for non-profits on very limited budgets.
My experience also includes the other end of the spectrum, working with internal teams at Microsoft to produce the 6,000-person launch event for Windows 2000 and with the Investment Company Institute to manage nationwide conferences, meetings and tradeshows. I have implemented event-focused marketing strategies for Delta Dental/Washington Dental Service, as well as executed all logistics for a four-day, 800-person customer conference for Tableau Software.
A Northwest native, I returned to Washington state 13 years ago after earning my B.A. in International Relations and Asian Studies at Colgate University in upstate New York, and living and working for four years in Washington, DC.
